I got out on the river on Father’s Day taking for what turned out to be a very short trip from my place down to Lake of the Woods. The river was over its banks in many places and was flowing fast. But there were no log jams along the way, although I did see a lot of trash in the river that will need to be cleaned up. Stay tuned for plans for our It’s Our River Day on September 18.
This was a very relaxing trip, right at 3 miles, according to Google, so I must have been moving nearly 6 miles an hour.
I didn’t spot much wildlife, but with the river over its banks, most critters are not near the river’s edge anyway.
