The Upper Sangamon River Conservancy and River Watch continue our long-term collaboration to study freshwater mussels in the Sangamon River. Join us to help collect, tag, and measure mussels. Join us for one or all four opportunities to be a citizen scientist!
Volunteers should wear clothes and old shoes, such as old sneakers, that are suitable for getting muddy and soaked. Recommended personal items include a water bottle, bug repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. A lunch will be provided for this event.

We will meet at the Museum of the Grand Prairie, 600 N. Lombard St, Mahomet, and suttle to Heron View Forest Preserve, 399 County Road 2650.
