Water/Ways and the Worth of Water

Water/Ways and the Worth of Water: The Museum of the Grand Prairie is delighted to be hosting the Museum of the Main Street Exhibit Water/Ways as jointly sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution and the Illinois Humanities Council. They will explore the Smithsonian Water/Ways, and learn how water impacts our local community in the companion exhibit The Worth of Water. As a part of the Museum of the Grand Prairie’s opening celebration of Water/Ways, the Museum of the Grand Prairie will be featuring Sara Grady, storyteller and water advocate, and her presentation, Water, Wonder, Words: Language, Stories, and the Cradle of Life at 2pm. Tours of the new exhibit will be given hourly, in addition to interactive stations set up in and around the museum for which the USRC will be a participating organization.

The USRC will have 2 or 3 tables at this event at the museum on Saturday. Help us out with staffing the tables or drop by the tables while visiting the exhibits.
