Sangamon Watershed Celebration

The Agricultural Watershed Institute and the Sangamon River Alliance are presenting “One River Unites Us All – the Sangamon Watershed Celebration” on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Macon County Extension Office and the National Sequestration Education Building on the Richland Community College Campus.  This all day event is designed to interest both families looking for an interesting activity for a Saturday morning and concerned citizens who are interested in the environmental health, history and future of the Sangamon River Watershed.  Concurrent sessions will be held in the afternoon followed by a dinner, keynote speaker, and entertainment.

 

The morning activities; booths, displays, activities for kids will be from 9am to noon and are free.  Afternoon session including lunch and concurrent sessions run from 12 noon to 5:30 pm and the cost is $20.  The fee for the he evening events is $25 and include a reception at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:30pm followed by the keynote speaker “Floating Through Time:  The Sangamon River” by Mike Wiant from the Illinois State Museum and concert by Tim Grimm.
