This mussel survey will be conducted in the Sangamon River at the Sangamon River Forest Preserve. In-water volunteers will need to have clothes and a pair of shoes suitable for getting muddy and soaked. It is recommended that you bring a personal water bottle, and a hat for protection from sun and insects. Lunch will also be served at the event. If you have special dietary needs, please bring a lunch with you. All other supplies for the survey will be provided. No experience is necessary. Instructions will be given prior to the event.

There will be some banker duties for those that would like to participate in the event but prefer not to get in the water.
