DESCRIPTION:The Upper Sangamon River Conservancy and River Watch continue our long-term collaboration to study freshwater mussels in the Sangamon River. Join us to help collect\, tag\, and measure mussels. Join us for one or all four opportunities to be a citizen scientist! \nVolunteers should wear clothes and old shoes\, such as old sneakers\, that are suitable for getting muddy and soaked. Recommended personal items include a water bottle\, bug repellent\, sunscreen\, and a hat. A lunch will be provided by the Upper Sangamon River Conservancy for this event. \nNo experience is necessary. There are a limited number of spots for this event. This event is free\, but registration is required. To register email Bruce Colravy at bmcolravy@msn.com.
