We will meet at the shelter initially, but the morning will include a hike to the river to get up close and personal with the fish. The round-trip hike is approximately 1.3 miles, so consider transportation such as wagons, strollers, or bikes if that sounds like a long walk but you or your little ones would like to join in on the fun. We will end the morning with a small fish fry.
There will be limited equipment available for use during time on the water. Feel free to bring your own gear, from rods and reels to waders.
All State of Illinois fishing regulations will apply.
