Sunday, Aug 2, departing at 9am (be there between 8:30 and 9). Done around 2 or 3pm (end time approximate).
We’ll be leaving from IL SR47 at the Sangamon Greenway and headed to Sangamon Park just across the Piatt County Line.
This trip measures (approximately) 7.6 miles so count on being out for 5 hours +. (and I wouldn’t schedule anything immediately afterwards either).
Should be beautiful warm sunny weather so it’s a perfect day to spend on the shady, winding Sangamon!
Bring plenty of water, bug spray and a snack since we’ll be paddling through lunch!
Plenty of canoes are available for anyone interested and we provide transport even if you bring your own watercraft..
This trip is FREE to all members, friends, or volunteers. As usual, donations are appreciated.
